Oh how I hope that you're happy

I hear you're somewhere in the sand

and how I wish I was an ocean

Maybe then,

I'd get to see you again

Why am I scared of people in a room?...
Why can't they see a good time, are the people close to you?
Why don't I just give in?
Have a drink and shakes some hands oh-ey-oh.

Literally man.
Arguably the best pop album of this generation in my opinion.

Sam Means debut single/thing comes out for digital download on May 1st. It's called Nona.
Has two tracks on it.
Here is the B-Side. http://www.youtube.com/watch?

Something tells me if he was still making music with Nate Ruess, Some Nights would've sounded a lot
more like Dog Problems. =P

Everyone should be listening to this.
Clearly Sam Means was the music influence of The Format.

oh steve... i'm still crushed daily by the fact that you devolved into a "fun suxxxx i miss da format they were better" type...

I like Fun. as a band and I think they work well together. I still love Aim and Ignite, I just didn't
like Some Nights.

I would hold both Dog Problems and Aim and Ignite on high regards but yeah, I just thought Some Nights
was a let down for them. I mean, the three of them a respectively fantastic at what they do, you know?
I don't think Fun. suck though. =P

Hahaha okay. Plus I can cope better now that you upped Some Nights back to a 3.5. Just a little better though...

BTW I just had this weird realization that "If Work Permits" reminds me a lot in sound and structure of "King of Carrot Flowers Pts. 2 & 3" by Neutral Milk Hotel. I love it.

"If Work Permits" is far and away my favourite Nate Ruess song. Immense.

Yeah it's awesome!
I love the opening verse to it. The lyrics are so sweet.

BUT it isn't my favourite Ruess song. That belongs to either 'The Gambler' or 'Oceans'

some nights and aim and ignite have the biggest gap between a 4 and a 3.5 ever. basically it's 4.2 and 3.3

plus, the best track by far is first, which is never a good thing. the rest of the album pales a bit in comparison
