Really fuckin awesome album. Definitely prefer their heavier style, as well as stuff like The Dripping Tap, otherwise the band is too all over the place for me. Cool that they release so much though, wish more bands did that.

"y band repeat song title in chorus"

"y band use repetition in metal album"

Welcome to a massive chunk of metal and punk bands, it's kinda what they do. This is a send-up / tribute to 80s and 90s thrash and progressive metal, they're just leaning into it (and really well)

Witchcraft kinda feels like one of the less good nonagon tracks to me, just kind of an odd lumpy melody that spends 5 minutes trying very sincerely to convince everyone it's an earworm. Not bad for what it is but I've never been all that hot for polyrhythm!giz

Supercell on the other hand... might be earning this a little bump in the soon

I've heard this band is actually pretty okay sometimes but I refuse to ever listen to them on principle of how unfathomably presumptuous and condescending it is of them to think they are important enough to be putting out like 5 albums a year

If you gouge out your eyes and squint really, really, really hard then maybe it would seem that way.

I really enjoy the record, but really don’t like hit every songs chorus is just repeating the name of the song.

Self indulgent inarguably, condescending more of a projection of what kind of people I imagine they must be to be so self indulgent

This is fun to listen to and I expect it will be super fun live, but really don't get the extreme hype, it's nothing new or extremely good .. but this can be said for the whole discog of this band

Imagine instead of releasing 6 albums in a year they put all this shit into a single album, then our heads might explode

this band's fans are the absolute fucking worst to accidentally find yourself caught in music discourse with

"Self indulgent inarguably, condescending more of a projection of what kind of people I imagine they must be to be so self indulgent"

they did an entire album where they played microtonal instruments but just used them to play boring western rock music melodies slightly out of tune and it was built up as being this crazy fucking experiment they were doing instead of an incredibly obvious gimmick to appeal to people who take pictures of pedal boards at gigs

“ Imagine instead of releasing 6 albums in a year they put all this shit into a single album, then our heads might explode”
But then nobody would’ve heard of them for their gimmick and streaming numbers would be down
