Good Review...I must say though, all of unearths albums sound virtually the same other than the improved recording quality.

Their first album Stings of Conscience proves this theory wrong.

the fact about sounding the same, of course. This Message Edited On 08.22.07

i think i probably unfairly look down on this album a bit because the oncoming storm was damn near perfect. still though this is miles ahead of the bands that rip off unearth.

Unstoppable has now become my favorite off this album and tied with Zombie Autopilot for my favorite Unearth song.

Sanctity of Brothers was the first song i heard from this album, and i still can't get enough of it... definitely one of my favorites from this.

I didn't like it much at first either. I love the riffing during the verses, it's so hard to follow (in a good way). My favs on the album are definitely Giles and Unstoppable.

Can't say I like Giles or Sanctity anymore, definitely heard them way too much.

It's true, the way I usually judge that for myself is if I start skipping tracks to get to the "good" stuff. With this CD (and with SmyX's Paradise Lost for that matter) I never ever skip a track. I start from Nightmare every time, and if I was, say, listening in my car and got up to Time Was Mine, I would go to that track on my comp at home, as so on. Can't get enough of it.

The breakdowns kill this band. They can write some sick riffs and then BOOM, they force a boring breakdown into the song.

This isn't my favorite metalcore band, but giles is just sick. This cd is pretty damn good.

The sweep picking bit in Giles is killer. Gotta love that riff.

wow, amazing. Possibly best metalcore cd i've heard ever. Actually, unless Waking the Fallen would be categorized as metalcore, this is easily the best cd of the genre. No matter, I'm loving this.

I would love to see "Giles" on guitar hero.

Pretty true. I remember hearing that song for the first time on the ozzfest website and just getting so excited for this album.
