What can I say this album is great hands down. 1994 sets the tone right off the bat, I have hammered spearmint revolt and still hasn't gotten old. Aria Obscura might be my favorite song on the album being a drummer my self the guitar riffs on this make my hair stand up. The whole thing flows, el-roi is kind of "filler" but I see they use it in a artistic way to set up sleep explosion. The cherry on top is by far Heartache, musically and lyrically this thing is absolutely a beast of a song. Love this band cant live without them.

I mean it's not their old stuff and I like that it's not. Why would you want wrongdoers 2.0 or polar similar?? Don't get me wrong both are great, classics for that matter. Given the times we are in this album speaks to our time. I don't think this is a bad album at all, quite the contrary. Do I think aspects of certain songs could have been expounded on , absolutely, but the majority of songs themselves are bangers. Give it a few listens and let it marinade. Compared to other stuff coming out recently, this album stands above the rest imo. We will have to come to terms with the fact that Nj can't go backwards as much as some of us would like them too. We need to meet them where they are and enjoy the fact they are still producing stright face melters. We got to stop trying to compare apples to oranges.

Love how Spearmint is a 10/10 NJ track and its not even top 5 on the album. This record is a killer

Cory is absolutely unhinged on this album. It's possibly the best performance he's delivered during his tenure with the band.
EDIT: Finishing up the album now. The musicianship is fantastic on here. Also, even though it definitely has Putney's touch on this, it doesn't sound as plastic as his other mixes sound. There's a good amount of dynamics on this album. I think it's one of their best.

The singles were the best thing on this album for me upon first listen. All Hail and Polar Similar are definitely better so far. I'll give it a few more spins before giving a rating.

"Wrongdoers is overrated af change my mind"
Tracks 2-4 are the three best things this band has ever strung together and it isn't even close. If you don't love the t/t off that album how are you even a fan of NJ

My first listen was on my extremely average speakers in my car. Listening to this album a second time through some decent headphones really brought this album up in rating for me
