Astronaut is good but so of its time, this one stared into the future

Green to Me's one of my favorite major key songs yea
idk dude they're both of their time, but then again I was listening to this one when the 90s were still freshly passed
|
| |
Mmmhm that's defo fair, but I think this one innovated enough to still feel fresh while Astronaut is more about capturing a mood and point in time

imo they're both very innovative but i think this record is much more vivid and focused

like i hear some of these songs and close my eyes and can imagine myself on another planet or floating away or some shit. any music with that ability to me is just so special

this album put a lot of mileage on my cd player in the early 2000s. lately it's the epicenter of a 90s rock nostalgia boner and it still sounds as lush as ever.

Guy's vocals and melodies remind me of mark kozelek's work in red house painters
|

Would never have made that link if you hadn't suggested, but I hear this. Sci-fi RHP
|
| |
Yeah, was thinking id be blasted for saying it but it seems pretty on point.
|

krazy

Afternoon with the Axolotls is definitely a distorted RHP song. lol its so there.
I cant be the first to make this comparison.

You got observed damn oltna
"Afternoon with the Axolotls is definitely a distorted RHP song. lol its so there."
I feel this with Apollo and Dreamboat too. The rest not so much, but both bands have heavy rainy day vibes

Most likely, can see you vibing with Astronaut defs. This one is harder to call, but it's dense and beautiful and full of great riffs so well worth checking
