I understand they like wearing their influences on their sleeve, but do they need to go this far? We get it. You love 5FDP.

Idk bro Anticure, Orphan, and t/t sound like pure buttrock lol

There's some buttrockish parts but its heavier and more intense than anything 5FDP has ever thought of doing lol.

Still feels like a twisted amalgam of 5FDP, Tool and modern Thrice with a deathcore paintjob to me lmao

I guess I just don't get it. I'm clearly the odd man out on this, but at least we're all sputkin at the end of the day m/

5FDP couldn't even think of crafting something this emotional without prefacing it with a toxic masculine military bootlicker anthem. And the production here is far bigger than any Kevin Churko prod

"It sounds like butt rock" and then picking the most toxic masculine look how tough i am because I shill for the US military and posture like I'm going to beat you up ass band is the type of hyperbole I like to refrain from these days

Yeah bud I really don't care about any of that stuff. In terms of sound, I just find the vocals and song structures rather similar. Savage and Hook also have similar solo styles. You don't have to agree and that's fine lol

I cannot stand 5FDP at all but I will give credit that live, they weren't so bad. They opened at mayhem festival I was at in like 2010 before they really started to blow up and they were fun for what they were. I have no clue how they'd sound now and nor would I choose to seek it out.

I saw them at Mayhem '08 on a tiny parking lot stage lol. Seen them a few times since then and they've always been solid. I would agree the whole military machismo schtick gets old quick tho, and it's only gotten worse over the years. It wasn't so bad when they first started.

saw them open for metallica last year, just caught the backend casually. weren't bad at all. always thought that the bleeding goes hard af. those first two albums aren't bad at all tbh

Big disagree on that, I thought they were really really not good. But not everybody can handle the stadium like that. I thought Wolfie fuckin tore the house down, comparatively.
I also saw FFDP back in the '08 timeframe when they were OK, and I'll just say Ivan was at his best when I saw him in Motograter lol. All of this was by accident, I know they have their fans but hoo boy not for me.

Crazy that the same band can write a song like Prisoner 666 and a song like Kin. Such a dynamic band.
