Slapping a 4 on this, at least for now. Just got done with my first "focused, with lyrics on hand" listen. I do find some of the earlier parts of the album to drag, but other than that it's quite powerful stuff with some awesome highlights.

Current thinking is this is MUCH better than Inbred, though it's entirely possible I just wasn't in the right mood for that one when I checked it

Between this, Kendrick, the Smile, and Gospel... this is presently looking like the winner, though it's early days

^ that one and Hard Times are the ones that really stopped me in my tracks. Strangers is also insane

"Strangers" is incredible yeah, that outro especially is a perfect ending to the album.

Am I making you feel sick?

Also a shout out for A House in Nebraska, particularly from about three minutes in to five and a half minutes where the layering of the vocals really kicks in. Might be my favorite moment sonically on the whole album

On the question of influence, I read that Anhedonia has stated that Florence and the Machine is her biggest influence, which I must say has made me more interested in listening to them/her than anything else before ever has.

No tears for me yet but I am a cold soul, and indeed this is likely my favorite album since like 2015 as of now.
