New album's pretty cool. I liked Elegy but I thought it was a little too similar to Melancholy. I like that this new one is a little heavier without going into obnoxious Lorna Shore/Brand of Sacrifice territory.

I'm struggling to get into it. Reclaimer and Melancholy will forever be the peak SoI experience. Primordial is also underrated as fuck, borderline tech-death levels of shred that are nowhere to be found on recent albums. I'd love a re-record of that one.

5 years ago I would have labeled this the best deathcore band by a mile but I think I have to give that nod to Fit For an Autopsy now

I thought they did a really good job incorporating other elements subtly like groove, prog, etc but still keeping it deathcore. Really fun record

I'm just about to find out, just in a moment. Freshly after checking this it feels safe to say it's a banger, doesn't peak as high as Melancholy but is consistently more solid.
It also helps that it touches upon WW2, one of the most interesting periods in history to me.
