the vocal mixing is fucking awful all around - the dude can sing so idk why they autotuned, vibrato'd (new word) and pitch corrected it to death. sounds like post malone.

Its a mess, i dont hate it but its not what i want from this band. I dont want diet Swallow the sun or "we have swallow the sun at home". Why fuck with his vocals his voice is almost always fantastic and doesnt need this much polish

his vocals just don't suit the pop approach - he cannot deliver a hook. that's just not his skill as a vocalist. writing your stuff like pop tunes is fine but the core elements have to be perfect for that to work. if the katatonia vocalist were delivering these songs they'd work.
