i actually came back here to say that this is a lot better after listening not on laptop speakers and has some really cool moments. I've also rated post metal albums highly before so makes sense that I would listen to something like this. but the funniest part of your comment is the colossal lack of self awareness you show by being a metalhead criticizing someone for going out of their way to rate albums they know they won't like, as if metal fans aren't the most hostile fanbase toward the existence of music that differs from their own niche interests out of any fanbase ever. you single me out for disrupting the decade plus sitewide metal circlejerk on a thread that has pikazilla on it. kiss the entirety of my ass

@ Colton. I'm not a metalhead. I'm not anything haha. In the last 3 months I've listened to more hip-hop than any other genre I could have listened to combined. Besides this album, the last "metal" album I listened to was Death's "Human".

This page made me laugh. Glad you are enjoying this a bit Colton.
"Besides this album, the last "metal" album I listened to was Death's "Human"."
I therefore name thee 3rd grade knight of the metalhead order.
"In the last 3 months I've listened to more hip-hop than any other genre I could have listened to combined"
How dare you?!... You are excommunicated and banned from all metal threads for all eternity

never understood defending average ratings of albums. as if the collective diswisdom (probably not a word but I kinda like it) of sput somehow has a baring on your own experience of a piece of music or whether you should check it out or not.

that being said FadedSun is most definitely indeed excommunicado'ed from all things metal from hence forth agreed

Yeah we should burn the heretics more often. On a serious note I get you Osmark, but sometimes you can't help to be a bit in disbelief when something you consider very good is not appreciated. In the end it doesn't matter because you are going to keep enjoying it but it's a feeling sometimes you can't help.

I suppose you could look at it from a different angle too if an album is rated really low and you dig it. all these plebs do not understand the beauty of this piece of art! what futile existences they must lead! such pity upon their souls!

The Necklace and Void in Virgo stick out to me as being different from the rest for some reason, and my two favs I think.
