Like so many tech death albums, it's all a little too... much.

Like it's everything but the kitchen sink... until they toss in the kitchen sink.

Despite the technical web, the guys have a strong harmonic sense, I find their formula rather catchy, to be honest.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's bad. This whole hyperactive thing just isn't my cup of tea. Gives me a headache.

I'm pleasantly surprised how inspired the songwriting is, I used to find this band boring af. This definitely holds my interest/attention more than the New First Fragment in that respect.

That being said, the barrage of machine gun drumming does get a tad annoying at times. Dig the vox.

The more I listen to this the more I appreciate it. I think it may even surpass Relentless in my mind.

Pika

Rarely classic techdeath clocks around 30' tho,.its generally proliffic but just tiring and redundant

Archspire is perfect for that matter and it adds up a not so classic writing imo

fantastic review!

"I never felt Archspire's music as a collage of futile techy exercises, but rather an outlet built on complex foundations."

this exact sentence perfectly describes why I adore this band and dislike 90% of other highly credited tech death acts.

Great writing, perfectly describes why bands like Obscura are absolute trash

This somehow is not feeling as edgy as relentless mutation. The bass kills tho.

Okay, side to side, production is amazing on this one compared to relentless mutation. Allthough relentless mutation is maybe cooler/ more artistic (¿? Debate)
