One of my most forgotten albums of a band I like from this year. I literally only remember it when this thread is bumped.

This is probably the weirdest Sput release this year for me haha. I agree that this is disjointed and that's likely why I've almost never listened to it front to back, but some of the cuts feel so so good.

Black Clockwork, Void and More especially feel worth the price of admission. I guess the most intense and blistering moments on this record are the best for me.

This year is almost over...

And this is still the biggest musical disappointment of the year by far.

I knew something was up when I first heard "Focus". Thankfully it wasn't as much of a disaster as I was expecting but man to go from Owls to this...oof.

Grew on me big time after the second listen, but maybe I was in a good mood that day...

I bet it will have grown on me. Surely.

I gave this a full fresh listen yesterday hoping it might have grown on me a bit. I will say the back half of this album, starting with the combo The Void from Which No Sound Escapes and More?, is pretty decent (although it only approaches the highs of Owls a couple times).

But the first half of this album is honestly trash. If anything I think I like the first half even less compared to my first few listens of this album.

Say what you will about the album as a whole, but Terrestria IV was a banger.

I think the back half is pretty good, but the beginning is bland. still, very far from Owls

This grew off me a bit but it's still really good. I get why it got slammed here. You don't bring the riffs and sput will not be kind to you lol.

But I love the atmosphere, the production, the vocals, the overall progression (which I know sounds disjointed to most but not to me, I like the schizo-feeling flow).

it's moreso the fact that Owls is so much better than this, and though we didn't really expect it to be on par with that album this isn't even close

My problem is how low the main vocals and back vocals. I have to strain my ears to hear the backing vocals.
