CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST RANKED
1) HOT WIND BLOWS: James Bond-esque samples with luscious instrumentation (a staple on this alb), and a ridiculous and long-awaited full feature from Lil Wayne.
2) JUGGERNAUT: Percussive and industrial, and apparently Uzi can spit and doesn't need autotune? A surprise fav.
3) SWEET/ITYWTD: Mostly this high for the first half, SWEET is perfect. Classy RnB bringing the Tony! Toni! Toné! vibes. Gnarly chord changes, cute lyrics, and more luscious instrumentation including a muted trumpet for maximum sensualality. Unfortuntely, the second half pales in comparison, the bossa nova is nice, but the hooks are elementary. If not for ITYWTD this would be numero uno.
4) WUSYANAME: "This is my pick-up line, AHHH YOU LOOK MALNOURISHED" Apparently NBA can rap? [2]
5) MASSA: Subtle beat with introspective lyrics spanning his growth throughout his career.
6) SAFARI: Luscious instrumentation [3]. Really puts Tyler's skills as a producer in the forefront.
7) CORSO: Terrific and gloomy bars. STFU gangster grillz. Man that piano!
8) LEMONHEAD: Fuckin banger. Domo23 except, ya know, way fuckin better. Great placement on 42 Dugg feat. Coulda been better with another Tyler verse, the short length makes me sad.

9) LUMBERJACK: Wasn't sold on this til I saw the BET performance, that was awesome. The beat is fuckin sick, lyrics are kinda just your standard flex track tbh, works better live.
10) SIR BAUDELAIRE: Maybe the best beat on the album? I wonder if Tyler likes game OSTs at all? Introduces the most unnecessary element of the album, DJ Drama AKA Gangsta Grillz, I think. Idk if he contributes to the actual production, if so, thank you. But STFU.
11) RISE!: The phone number song! I was stuck in the hospital when the album came out, so the only way for me to hear anything was to call the phone number, which I did over and over. So this song has some personal feelings to it. Overall, I love it, hearing the verse on something other than a shitty hospital phone was magical, and speaking of magical, that bridge. The hook (when I rise to the top) is pretty elementary however, reminding me of what I didn't like about Igor.
12) MANIFESTO: Cool song, cool beat. Politics. Wasn't really missing Domo.
13) WILSHIRE: I don't dislike this song at all, the story is meaningful, and at a cursory glance the beat is nice and functional, carrying a lyrically based track. I've even started to notice the subtle bass fading in and out, which is a nice touch. But 8 and a half minutes of the same 30 second instrumental over and over again?? On an album carried by its musical variety, this song sticks out like a phat sore thumb. Could've been a righteous heavyweight with the heartfelt energy in the lyricism, but instead, right around minute 4, 5 or 6, you find it to be more energy-draining.
14) RUNITUP: THISSONGFUCKINSUCKS! THISSONGFUCKINSUCKS! THISSONGFUCKINSUCKS!
15) MOMMA TALK: Stay tf away from Tyler's mom lmao. Thinks he's Frank Ocean or something.
16) BLESSED: B L E S S U P ! Pretty unnecessary.

Momma Talk is hilarious.
"Am I lyin?"
"Uh, you'd have no reason to."

can’t say I hate anything on this which is why the interludes are at the bottom. Even those have some nice instrumentals. It’s a very sequential album which makes my ranking a lil arbitrary

Just gave this a thorough listen from front to back. It's like the perfect blend of the ironic sappiness of Flower Boy/ Igor and the best hip hop tracks on Wolf.
