Stunning album, may even be my favourite of theirs now. So much weight, even in the quieter sections. I couldn’t disagree more with the person who said there’s too much spoken word, because that aspect really elevates this album and I hope they continue to use them on future releases. The concept appeals to me, too; I’ve long been interested in how thorny shrubs like bramble are both impenetrable but also act as a cradle for trees to grow in.

Also, when the heavy part of Voor Immer kicks in, that’s one of the most life affirming sections I’ve heard in a long time. It will sound absolutely immense live.

I’m obsessed with this album at the moment, it just gets better and better. There’s something about the spoken word parts, combined with the massive guitars, production and vocal releases (from both Colin and Caro, especially in the outro to Het Gloren) that just pushes Amenra in to a league of their own. Everything just feels completely authentic and much greater than the sum of their parts. Judging by their recent live performances, these tracks also sound massive live. I can see why people are so dedicated to this band.

I sort of wish Het's first half wasn't so limp because otherwise wow what a track

I like the first half better than the last hahah

Its all kinda...i dunno..easy.

That clean section just dosnt fit. Its like an interlude. Then the second half is just..yeah..kinda easy. The atmosphere is dope especially caros part but the actual riff, does nothing for me. Its easy. And it dont mean technical wise as theyre not that band...

When the harsh vocals come back around and the slow riff churns in during De Evenmens, that's one of my favorite musical moments in recent history. Great stuff

curious to see how different the seth manchester mix is... although i haven't listened to the original in quite a while.

edit: listening now and the chanted vocals on ogentroost are too recessed for me.
