I find probably half the albums on spotify to be too quiet on my phone with earbuds in, even at maximum volume. Then I accidentally load tik tok and it's so loud that I just instinctively react by grabbing my earbuds and tossing them away from me to make the hurting stop. Don't get it. I wish spotify would let me go louder. I feel like the max volume should never need to be reached.

I already turned on the setting to equalize volume which apparently does absolutely nothing whatsoever. It is exceedingly common, every Thou album is too quiet on spotify for example. I have to crank my car stereo up about 3 / 4 levels higher than other albums.

Ratings are usually purged if it appears you are 1ing artists entire discographies . So if you went to like every Slipknot album and 1d them your ratings can get deleted.
It's supposed to stop people rating bombing bands they hate. A lot of the time ppl just get their ratings deleted because they decided to listen to every record from a band they hate for some weird reason

I can't think of any band I did that for an entire discography. I did recently give all the Tool albums after Aenema pretty harsh ratings though. God I hate Tool.

i believe the assumption is that if you hate a band that much you would not be stupid enough to subject yourself to their whole discography
and if you havent listened in earnest then you shouldnt be rating anyway
