Just listen to it, lol. Wouldn't want to cut into precious Tool and Radiohead time.

"if it does end up being a 3.8 then it's because people rated it that way solely for the meme"

Agreed.

@Veldin

Though the hard rock genre is filled with utter trash, Chevelle stands out among most of the rest. Great band. Any album of theirs is a fine starting point in my opinion. They don’t have an album that’s less than good. I say jump in with the new album. Why not?

Oops, got mixed up with new Notwist review and that's where Radiohead comparison came from. Jamming this now!

I really don't know what to do with this yet. It's a pretty good mainstream metal album, despite a few missteps (it could go faster too)! bump.

Man The North Corridor sucks, makes this album so much better. When Pete mentioned having songs he was not proud of in the recent interview he was definitely talking about the North Corridor. Pete sounds drunk the entire album. Pissed off drunk too

No idea what I think of this. Have heard about 60% but I’m definitely disappointed with Digital Woods

"Always assumed this was a pop-punk or metalcore band lol. Is this ACTUALLY worth listening to, especially if I've never heard their work before?"

like others have said, start with Wonder What's Next or This Type of Thinking. It's mainstream metal/alt-metal but it's executed so much better than almost all of their contemporaries, assuming you like Pete Loeffler's voice (and you should)

This isn't really for me. Definitely not BAD, but a bit boring. I'll give it another listen or two before rating it. I told my buddy I listened to it and he was like "do you remember seeing them live?" and I was like "lolwut". Don't remember that at all... Musta been at a festival or something. Maybe Mayhem Fest?

There are a few parts that are reminiscent of past stuff for sure.
