I also don't think I heard a single double bass pattern during the whole album..?
I can't recall one. Jivarp's playing on this is boring.
In truth divided is the closer on the album, it's not one of the bonus tracks. IIRC somebody somewhere messed up the tracklisting, but the actual bonus tracks would be tracks 13 and 14.
If that is true then that makes a whole lot more sense since "Failstate" would be a very weird track to choose as a closer. Century's 2CD digipak puts 1-12 on first disc and then 2 additional tracks on disc 2 so I think you may be right.

Not sure why there's a lot of 5s for this record, as much as I love this it's not 5 worthy.

RE: track listing
During the A&P Reacts interview, Stanne mentioned that some prerelease copies that were sent to reviewers only contained 10 tracks due to some oversight.

Silence as a Force, Time in Relativity are the bonus tracks and they are excellent, especially Silence as a Force.

As a side note, my wife's favorite DT records are Projector, Fiction, and Construct, so she already over-the-moon with Moment...

The bonus tracks are really cool, DT continue their tradition at putting great songs as bonus ones

the solo in silence as a force is awesome, that track riffs more than any other one on the album

"your wife listens to dt? Lucky bastard"
At one of the Atoma shows, my wife moshed in her bare feet (yikes), and ended up pulling some guys shirt up over his head and slamming him to the ground when he hit her with an elbow (probably by accident). That man was very confused when he figured out who had done. We all laughed.
She is lucky she didn't break her toes.
Along with listening to metal, she also likes sci-fi, hiking, and is a totally bad ass mom.
Lucky guy, indeed! I would post a pic, but I don't see that feature on this site.

Just listened to this. Scratching my head wondering why it was cut from the final release.

Damn... hot take time. I feel like this is the best thing they've ever done. Honestly, felt like this band was running out of creative juice but I think the lineup changes have really put this band over the edge. Riffing is definitely a step up from the rest of their discography. Not only is the soloing great but their riffs just sound more inspired in general.
Really surprised because I expected to be bored by this and basically just put this album on just to zone out at work lol

Yea that’s a very hot take lol

fiction and construct are my favourite DT records and i'm not really all that thrilled with this one
songwriting wise it's just a bit... blander? honestly i thought atoma was a good record but it seemed a bit too reserved and this is even worse in that regard. yeah, i like DT when they're mellow but it needs juxtaposition to mean anything.

Well, I've always felt like the gallery was really overrated and the only albums I ever really care to spin these days are damage done and construct. Everything else kinda drags for me with a few good tracks sprinkled in

After the first spin, I think the only track I wasn't really a fan of was Empires Lost to Time. Not because it was bad, but more so because the sort of peppy/happier sounding vibe doesn't fit with the vibe of the record overall.
I am at work, so it's tough for me to really sit and focus on this properly, but my initial impressions have been positive overall, for sure.

Whoa, your wife is a very cool person!
I don't understand why silence as a force was cut out either, but if I had to hazard a guess, it's because it's the most guitar-driven track, meaning it would stick out like a sore thumb

i also feel the gallery is really overrated. i've never been able to get into it that much.
also i've come to really hate the key shift in identical to none - it's so cliche and it doesn't fit the song at all. so many of the clean vocal melodies just seem so typical for this band and give me an uncomfortable sense of deja vu whenever i hear them.
this album really doesn't stand on its own at all.
