This is pretty damn perfect. I guess all I ever needed from sludge/post metal was a female vocalist and some melody? Bumping to a 4.5. This is going to soundtrack my entire November, I can already tell. This is exactly the sort of abrasive *different* I've been craving.

never listened to Thou before this
Emma has a wonderful voice, and the atmospheric instrumentals are great at first but get pretty repetitive around the halfway mark. some more songwriting variety would do a great deal here, nevertheless it's still a good album.
i can certainly see this growing on me
