If you've only heard this one I'd say Haunted and Commandment. Undead and Unborn are actually pretty solid too imo. A lot of people seem to hate Commandment but it was one of the first death metal CDs I bought and I've got heavy nostalgia for it. Doomsday is still a fucking jam imo. His vocals are pretty iffy on that one too though. Vocals are fine on Haunted though and it's basically an Obituary with Bleeding era Barnes on vocal duty

Undead is an awesome record tbh

thing about this band is barnes hired some of the best guitarists and musicians in death metal (guys from obituary, dying fetus, suffocation, etc.) but the band is still bad.
btw i just read this tidbit on wikipedia which blew my mind considering how many bands are better than this one in death metal: "Six Feet Under has released 13 albums, and is listed by Nielsen Soundscan as the fourth bestselling death metal act in the U.S"
really? I guess in death metal you don't need to sell much to compete with the other bands since it's a niche genre, but still. It blew my mind.

I'd imagine the whole ranking high in sales is due mostly to the Cannibal Corpse/Barnes connection. When I was first getting into death metal Commandment was about to come out and the singles from it were being played to death on XMs liquid metal show and I ended up contributing to their high sales lol. I bought Bringer of Blood after and said to myself "what the fuck?!?".
Also agree on It Undead being pretty damn good. I had ignored the band since like 07 but I watched a video of a YouTuber who hates them ranking their albums and he actually praised that one, Unborn and Haunted and it got me to jam it. Was pleasantly surprised. Even vocally it isn't bad

do you not understand the gravity of chris barns name? he was literally the king of death metal in the early 90s and moved a huge crowd of fans over from CC to six feet under. they seem pretty loyal too despite all the ridicule the band gets from the rest of the metal community.
