when it comes to substance I think Look At Yourself was a little better than this

idk man, Felony will always have a special place in my heart

Felony would probably be on my shortlist for worst albums I've ever heard if Don't Be One wasn't there, and even then that song just sounds like something I've heard Deftones do way better. But this shouldn't shock you, you already know I have a visceral reaction of disgust when it comes to THAT kind of attitude, that posturing fake tough guy ass act, and it doesn't help that I think the backing band took an absolute shit during those sessions and didn't even try to salvage it

yeah the production of Felony is reallllly bad but for me it's a fun kind of bad that I'll absolutely tweak an EQ or something to enjoy, it's just got that great blend of "I just got broken up with/I really wanna shoot this person in the face multiple times" attitude that when I was younger just spoke to me for some reason. I don't go out of my way to listen to it but when You Sunk My Battleship comes on in my likes playlist I'll fucking belt that shit

i guess for me the production makes me want to rip my ears off, the overreliance on "br00t4l" chuggachugs makes even my supposedly riff hating ass beg for some better guitar work, frankie just sounds like an insufferable douchecanoe, and at the end when I heard some singing and melody I felt a sense of relief that there was something I could take away from it and it got saved from 0.5 hell for me. still definitely a hard 1/5 but I was glad I could salvage something that wasn't just more ridiculous posturing over palm muted open note shit. call me a buzzkill all you want but if I'm in the mood for some tough guy gangsta type shit, I'll just hit Straight Outta Compton or something

I fucking love that shit man, or at least what Emmure was able to produce with that album. Definitely a 5 guilty pleasure for me. Did you ever listen to GRIM REAPER AND A UZI from Dethmask 3 like it was suggested? You'd probably dig that song.

and oh god I hated eternal enemies, I only liked Like Lamotta off that one

I'll have to give that a spin, I've been way too stuck on the album I reviewed give that a go and I'll give Dethmask an honest spin
Only one I could stand off Eternal Enemies was We Were Just Kids

ughhh an ex of mine adored that song, it's not bad but it got old pretty quick because she played it all the time next to Can You Feel My Heart. I could honestly say knowing you, you can skip all of Dethmask 3 but the aforementioned track is easy to slip into and ride on through.

Oh I can definitely feel that one lmao one of my exes is practically responsible for a good 80% of my post-2013 music discovery by osmosis since she put me on a BMTH album that year and then mentioned PTV and SWS.

PTV is a band I've yet to dive into, and at this point I'm scared to even try because they seem like a generational band that I kind of missed out on because I liked other stuff

honestly if you get it you get it and if you don't you don't. grim reaper and an uzi was a weird experience, probably the best darko track I have heard and my interest is piqued a little bit. even if the rest is a skip it's a bite size EP dose and not as long as Oni so at least I'll be back to my venturing (seriously what did Jane put in that album its like crack for me) and other stuff quicker lol

it has its moments dude, and those moments are why I spin it frequently from start to finish, they cram a lot of atmosphere and genre bending into the chug chugs and they break it up when they know it's getting repetitive. It's a masterclass in deathcore to me, at least in the current scene.

yeah with oni I felt like I was sitting there for like an hour and a half (probably wasn't that long but felt that long) this should probably fly by since it isn't like 17 tracks, I don't expect that venturing album to grip you quite like it does for me but I want that album noticed here so I've been wanting to start offering to try others favorites if they'll put it on haha

Arizona? I'll add it to the list my guy. Probably spin it at work tomorrow if I don't have to train noobs.

"If anything you’ve just read pissed you off, news flash, it’s you creating the problems in this world. This isn’t right-wing propaganda bleeding through your screen. This is just cold truth. I could go on and on about what I disagree with on both sides of the spectrum. I don’t even believe there should be a two party system, but however extreme that idea might sound to you, you know what’s actually extreme? Being happy, someone was killed just because you didn’t like what they had to say."
Just a small part of what seems to be the rantings of a 15 year old who never engaged in US History. What a fucking moron.
