Some of y’all need to stop riding Jack Antonoff’s dick so hard lol. Yes he’s written and produced some bangers, for sure...but he’s also almost single-handedly responsible for Swifty turning into (mostly) garbage on her last couple of albums. Lots of strange production choices that dilute everything that made Taylor so charming in the first place. And for every Rollercoaster, there’s 5 other Bleachers songs so forgettable I can’t even remember their names. Let’s stop pretending everything he does turns to gold now lol
Oh yeah, and this album is fantastic as per usual. She’s gotta be one of the top 5 pop artists in the game.

Na I disagree, he really only has one miss on his record and that's Reputation (which he was involved in writing more than half of the songs) - and I think it's because Taylor was headed in a direction he really didn't know very well with the overblown, edgy style rather than the big synthpop bangers (and when he got to write one - Getaway Car - it's the best song on the album)

JS19: I interpret it more as Jack thinking he could beat Max Martin at his own game, and failing miserably. I will agree when he stays in his lane (like Getaway Car) the results are usually good...it’s just starting to feel very recycled at this point. You can only write so many dreamy synthpop ballads before they all kinda start to blend together, IMO.

I think there's some truth to this especially re: Swift losing her charm; everything she writes now sounds the same. I think Antonoff is a one-trick pony, but it's a beautiful trick.

not feeling the hype for this one, it just barely hanging onto a 3. Really dislike Let's Sort This Thing Out. The three last songs are all excellent though

Sort The Whole Thing Out is too bubblegum pop for even Carly standards lol, sounds like a kids song
