They've put out a few alternate versions of these songs which are basically screaming "we want to go full pop".

do they really have anything left to do in the genre they've been in? probably the best move is to change genres like Thrice once did.

From what perspective did it not work? It was their most successful commercial work of all time. Black Honey might have made them more money than their entire past discography.

Yeah, the same will be true for this album for Silverstein lol

I actually liked Everywhere/Nowhere quite a bit. Palms was very hit and miss. I dunno, I think there is still some potential for Thrice if they keep going, but who knows. Maybe it will keep getting worse

Is this doing well for Silverstein? Aside from not being received well on here, that is

They have kind of exhausted their phxc sound so venturing out isn't a bad idea. Just depends on the execution

According to Twitter posts on all of their stuff it seems to be doing really well, aside from the occasional person who complains about them selling out.

lol, always got to have the dedicated asshats on a band's social media to keep reminding them of how good they used to be

I should actually listen to this. I have heard pretty much everything else they have done

If "Silverstein Goes Pop: Volume 1" sounds appealing then you'll like it. I like it, but they're my favorite band, and I can't imagine not liking an album from these guys.

So far, this sounds a lot like their Shipwreck and Rescue days to me, where they flirted more with pop punk but still threw some phxc in for good measure

Hmm, ok, All On Me was not great

And damn, they had to derail Madness with that chorus, huh

Def the worst thing they have done

A pretty substantial dip in the middle, but otherwise, not too shabby of a listen. I could see myself coming back to a few of these songs

Fun fact: September 14th is the first birthday that was called for the Vietnam War draft. Will be jamming hard tomorrow.
