Posthumous Forgiveness is the only good song on this album, and even then its trademark Tame Impala. Its like they get bored of a song and have to add some meandering bullshit tag to the end.

I just can't quite love Tame Impala the way that I did before currents. I also feel sad when people uphold Currents as the Pinnacle of Kevin Parker thus far. Lonerism and Inner Speaker tower over this and Currents. I'm just glad that Pond took the torch and forged ahead.

Innerspeaker is my favorite TI album but it is true that it is a copy paste of the Beatles and 60's psychedelic pop in general.

Currents has its own personality and way more identity and originality even if it is more inconsistent and "rocks" less

This one on the other hand is just repetitive songs all over it. Big step down

Glimmer is such a daydreamer type song. Underrated gem on here fosho.

“To add some meandering bullshit tag to the end.”

Would you rather the songs repeat the same ideas ad infinitum? The transitions keep the tracks feeling fresh, while still calling back to melodies previously in the song.

It's ok but for me it's the first average Tame Impala record and that's really dissipointing Currents is like a 4.0 for me while Lonerism and Innerspeaker are close to a 5

i feel like tame impala lost a bit of their magic when dave fridmann was cut loose, after lonerism. the mix on innerspeaker is just an absolute treat.
