Agreed. Both version are great, but same, i do prefer the OG.

Yes it is, it's their second best (well, the OG version).

original master is still better. they fucked up the keys on this one tbh.

Never too late to admit i've been wrong. This actually rules.

This is great but yeah the original is definitely better.

As much as I love the original, I actually prefer this one tbh. The drums and female vox were always the part that bugged me the most production-wise on the original, and they fixed that so much with this re-release... despite the guitars taking a bit of a hit

The original has such a distinct sound that makes it a classic for me. This is still amazing though of course.

my puny ears always felt this was way more 'listenable' than the og
this version still rips but if I can stomach Dusk these days, maybe I should give the og Cruelty another once thru?

Do it man!
To me, the og is one of the rare cases where a flawed production sort of fits the album's concept. The drums and female vox being so low in the mix provide a certain eerie aura, like being in a castle of sorts. Don't really know how to explain it. :D

The original will always be best. I know the band hates it, but its such a classic.
