That's probably the issue for me. I can tell this is quality stuff, but I don't really feel any kind of "connection" with it.

stumbled onto this a few days ago. holy shit.
the compositions have this incredible euphoric flow and almost no moment is remotely dull. some of the choral/orchestral arrangements and chord progressions remind me of listening to some avant grade classical stuff like Debussy, too. can't say a metal album has ever checked that very specific box for me. pretty amazing.
