Yeah, I'm curious too. This is pretty damn good compared to most deathcore.

not really comparable to ffaa sound though. Everything listed is more on the slammy side of things despite maybe shadow of intent and aversions crown.

Fit write more cohesive songs than any of those

Those arent the only two on the list that arent slammy. And plenty of those write "cohesive" songs. Sounds like youre making assumptions about bands you havent even heard.

well, I've heard them all and I'm not saying these are bad bands. They are just not quite comparable and have a different songwriting approach, that's all I'm saying. To me, most of them don't write as memorable and cohesive songs as ffaa in my opinion, since a lot of them are more focused on the brutal aspects of the genre while the ffaa guys aim for more atmosphere and emotional resonance.

Out of the bands you named I really do like aversions crown and shadow of intent and to some extent EE. The other artists however don't do much for me

Thats fine. But I wouldnt call FFAA atmospheric at all, cant think of a deathcore band i would. And i think like half of those bands are just as (or not much more) brutal than whats on here, theyre only missing the singing (which is part of what dragged this down for me), so i think they can be compared just fine.

Ok, agree to disagree I guess. But i get where you're coming from so just a point of two different perspectives for that matter. Due to this thread I'm in the mood for Aversions Crown, so thanks for that ha!
