Mostly Big Time is lovely but admittedly the last couple tracks lose me a bit. It's interesting that she chose to end it with a similar trad/baroque pop style as she ended this one but "Chance" blows both those songs out of the water as far as that kind of thing goes. I also find myself wishing for a really big highlight that it doesn't quite have (unlike "Sister" and "Chance" which were both SOTY contenders for their years). Slapping a (very strong) 3.5 on it for now.

last couple of tracks are some of the best ones for me. i love her lyrics and how lush her voice sounds throughout but it really shines in the last few. she doesn’t really wail much like she does all the time until the end of the album

i also think i would like it less if i was comparing it to prior material or assuming it to be a rugged change of direction. to me it just feels like a more theme driven collection of songs that are all tied together lyrically and emotionally in a way that feels genuine. i assume she’ll progress the all mirrors sound eventually
