Yeah I was pleasantly surprised how much this reminds me of Bleed American

I can pick a little bit of past few records too but some of these riffs sound old school JEW. Next to BA this is definitely the best energetic / pop record. It's funny how they haven't broke the rule of mellow-energetic-mellow-energetic album cycle they got going there.

| |
I agree but futures is definitely a pop album still. “Darker” I guess but hook after hook.

Recommit is such a massive step up in quality from the rest of the album, it's unreal. And it's a good album. Recommit is a serious top 10 contender for me.

Fuck you guys. I’m waiting until Friday. But fuck Amazon man. I pre ordered this in September and it’s telling me I won’t get it until October 22. Fucking BULLSHIT. Will be resorting to Spotify over the weekend unfortunately but, come Monday, it’s on.

One Mil and Congratulations are the classics for me

"I pre-ordered this in September and it’s telling me I won’t get it until October 22." Yeah, I didn't pre-order from amazon but there's a chance mine won't come until Monday too.

Strange to see the reception living up to (maybe even exceeding?) my hype. Glad everyone digs so much.

I almost can't believe that I've jammed All the Way well over a dozen times (including replaying it to learn on guitar) and I still feel so excited when it begins, like I'm hearing it for the first time again. Just utter perfection.

I hate the album cover if I'm being perfectly honest

It's a little too bold for sure.

for some reason it reminds me of maroon 5 or some other bad pop band, however album will rule once I get my hands on a physical

we get it sow you have a promo :p

The two songs I’ve heard from this have me pretty hyped! Do all the songs have that fun electric pop rock energy?
I enjoyed the last album but I will admit Bleed American and Futures will always be the classics for me.

A lot of the songs do but it's more moody than the band let on. Delivery, 555 and Recommit are all moody, even if they have different levels of guitar intensity.

Aside from 555, yep, pretty much every song rocks! Criminal Energy is one of their best rockers since Praise Chorus.
|
| |
The chorus to 555 really is unfortunate cuz the rest of the song is pretty good

If they didn't drown out the vocals towards the end of the title track it would be their best opener. When played live he really belted them out and it was powerful as fuck.

I’m really in love with the drum production here, just the perfect amount of punchy and crisp
