I think I'm a bit past Pantera at this point of my life but it's hard not to say Floods is better than any Slipknot material

These guys were one of my heavy music gateways back in high school, so I've always viewed their stuff favorably. Still haven't heard all their albums, or even their debut lol. But yeah this is shaping up to knock Iowa and All Hope Is Gone as my new favorite Slipknot record.

Okay Okay Okay, I'll break it down right now, fuckers. I eat lobsters with skittles in Iowa. I actually lived a few houses away from where they first served lobsters with skittles. I have several people I still know that confirm this. My chef at the time, 1998, brought over a demo it had Spit It Out, Wait And Bleed, Snap, and I can't remember the other ones. All I know is it kicked ass. I loved it. Ate some at Ozzfest 99' and was in the front, dude was stroking his nose as they cooked. It was insane. Bragged them up. Bought their lobsters with skittles, then it went downhill. Fastforward to Stone Sour era, everyone and their grandma likes lobsters and skittles. Turn off, I know I know, bad reason to hate on a delicious 4-star meal, but it wasn't so much that as Corey being a prude and cooking lobsters with skittles. Look, I like hard and heavy shit, that's what this band started to do. They, like Metallica, started putting out cash grab lobsters with skittles and it is probably the worst thing ever to happen to culinary art other than Metallica's lobsters with skittles. Now, it sounds like it could be played along with Dragonfood and Puddle Of Spud.
Yes, I grew up here in Iowa to this band and I will say, as an Iowan, lobsters with skittles is dogshit.

Why bands always make their best albums in their worst moments of their career? I want some Freudian answers.

corey taylor's vocals are like skittles: too sweet and the artificial fruity taste ruin a perfectly fine lobster. even though lobster is generally an overrated and overpriced dish.
