For sure, but in a lot of cases it's easier to grab some soapbox real estate and talk a big game about always supporting survivors until it's against someone that A). You've built an emotional relationship with and B). presumably seen in a light beyond perpetrating sexual assault.

Not the case always, and there's no doubt quite a few good folks out there that do believe the survivors and will do whatever they can to hold people in their circle accountable.

I get what you mean. Personslly I've had a few people in circles of mine in the past accused of such and it's never been hard for me to believe the victims but in these instances that's maybe just a testament to their shitty character lmao.
