Yeah well I would get through part of the album, then just continue where I left off. Could tell this was far more polished, but now I've digested all the parts I see this is really something special

my little 7 month old and I watched the netflix short film and she was hypnotized and I actually liked what I heard so I guess I gotta give this a shot.

Def need to give this another listen. Once was enough to make an impact, but this is probably more like a 4.
Also, I really like the opener. Surprised by the backlash. Dawn Chorus was my favorite

"my little 7 month old and I watched the netflix short film and she was hypnotized"
I watched it yesterday, my little 4 month old was already asleep though. Gotta try that! lol Yorke's ruined eye messes with me much more than it would with her, I'm guessing x)

The opening bass line of Impossible Knots keeps reminding me of that novelty song Acapella by Karmin.

Still not so crazy about the first 1/3 or so of this, but it gets fantastic starting with the second half of Twist imo

^That's when the album gets excellent for me, and sort of improves on the weaker elements of the styles from weirder Radiohead releases like Amnesiac and TKOL.

Wow, kudos dude, this is VERY good writing - I can’t claim to have read anywhere near all your reviews or anything, but it’s certainly the best I’ve read by quite a margin - really excellent and mature stuff.
Would that I felt the same way about the actual album - I haven’t listened close enough to give a definitive impression of it yet, but only because I’ve so disliked the little that I’ve heard. There’s some about the sound of the production (of what I’ve heard) on this this thing that sounds so... idk, tinny? Flat? Uninspired? Can’t quite put my finger on it, but can’t get into it yet. Who knows though, maybe it will grow on me with enough patience.
