lots of individually great elements but the way it coagulates isn’t for me. it oozes talent but seems an exercise of indulgence more than a solid artistic vision. the follow-up album will probably wow me if, I had to guess.
like, it’s a 50-50 of me going “that’s neat” and “ugh you just ruined it”

yeah I'm very on the fence half way thru so far. Most songs leave me feeling like I'm not sure how I'm supposed to be feeling. There are interesting elements, but so far they aren't coming together in a way that really grabs me. I'm also not sure that this guy's voice is really for me
