I said I didn’t like the album cover in the Emotion thread but it does sort of fit the music perfectly...off-white, airy, fairly subdued

the monochrome tone also matches the music, not something I expected from carly (you'd think her music would always be colorful and exuberant)

I agree, living up to EMOTION was going to be a nearly impossible task, though, and this has grown on me a lot since it was released. I'm coming around to some songs I didn't love, too, like The Sound and I'll Be Your Girl.

Happy Not Knowing and Real Love are still tops, and those would content with the top tier tracks on EMOTION. This is just a less consistently amazing album overall.
