Sure, they got a few duds in their discog, but most of their latest output has been super solid
Especially Midvinterblot and Odalheim

counterclockwise discog walk; revisit, indeed predictable song structure but still good nonetheless. A weak duo pieces opener is never a good idea, the way they position their songs is a big problem with a long album. Can quickly badly influence the appreciation. To be fair, a pretty decent closer with "Into The Dark"
high.lights: Valkyria/Raven Flight/The Berserker at Stamford Bridge/When Once Again We Can Set Our Sails", are the ones reassembling their old masterpieces. bumped to 3.3/5
low.point: "Ironside/Wings of Eagles" not even that bad, just average.
Removing at least 2 average fillers could have help this LP.
Very enduring, stable band with over the top high self-esteem. They know what they want to do and they are doing it well. Maybe a little too well.

Surtur isn't twilight,vs, or oden but yeah it's a perfectly solid amon album. I wouldn't say underappreciated is a word I'd use it's got a solid score here and is well received overall. Its rated fine again it's not oden good stuff tho not every album has to be a 4
