okay

four listens in, this is growing on me now

Still feel like In Northern Michigan-Footsteps is a bit of a weak stretch but I'm otherwise vibing with the emotional crests of this now that I'm not expecting every track to blow me off my feet

I sound like a Somewhere hater but it really is a great record musically. I just wish Jordan’s vocal delivery wasn’t so...

Well you already know what oversaturated word I’m gonna use.

Bumping this to a 4 though after watching Pilgrimage. What a cool visual this album paints.

Just the fact that the top sound off for a La Dispute album, 11 years after Somewhere, is DARLING is so fucking annoying

ashcrash you monster, putting King Park and I See Everything in the same region of the bracket so they can't reach final four together. Both are jaw-dropping, I'd take I See Everything over Edward Benz every time

It's more accessible and melodic than their other albums so yeah

i think rooms is probably more 'accessible' but really depends on what kinda music you want. somewhere is the most impressive musically, wildlife is the most impressive lyrically and this and rooms are most impressive atmospherically
