I'd say it's better, if only for the more diverse pool of influences. Sometimes it's Chevelle or Tool being channeled, other times it's EOH-era Killswitch minus the harsh vocals. Lyrically, I'd say I'm more humble than Mullins but that's not saying much since his ego is through the roof.

@Beardog: Sure, but to complain about bad lyrics here when I very well could be just as guilty of some of the same issues would be a tad hypocritical of me. The only way to really avoid it is to completely take myself out of the narrative; no "I" or "you", just a flowing story that gets the same message across.

It's not hypocritical tbh, If you dislike your own lyrics for the same reason that you might dislike the ones here, you can still give an objective view on them. Just because I can't sing, doesn't mean I cannot criticize a record with bad singing.
