Well on Eternal Light he kinda has the different Troy Sanders vocal styles down, so i can see why people could think there is more than one vocalist singing

This is my AOTY.

I like it a ton but I wouldn't go that far.

That sounds about right, this is very well constructed though, could grow on me further.

Does anyone else think his yells are Mike Patton-lite?

There are countless singers who have adapted the harsh vocal style of Mike Patton, saying some rock or metal vocalist sounds like him is basically overdone by now

Yeah he doesn’t sound like him, in fact I’m not sure what they meant by that.

I haven’t heard Statues so I have no comparison, but this is pretty solid The vocals are absolutely insane, I dig it

This is a big step up compositionally.

This was actually quite good; it was more melodic than I was expecting it to be. My only qualm (it’s terribly minor) is that I felt the vocals could be a tiny bit better, like with more practice, you know?
This would fit well with Demorian.

The cleans are the best thing about this.

I don't know, i think Will Gardener is incredibly talented and puts 95% of genre vocalists to shame

Not saying they’re bad, they just need a bit more polish.

I am surprised at how many comments are in a somewhat negative light on the vocals. I really like them.

Yes. Really suprising. Critics usually praise his vocals the most regarding the music overall

Well, I can at least say that the drums sound better with a decent headphone amp and great headphones. They actually have a bit of a kick, but now *everything* is a bit too clinical, especially coming from their debut album. I can see what they were aiming for, but especially with this style, it just doesn't work.
(Listening now with Schiit Magni 3 & Sennheiser HD600)

Pretty cool hearing cleans in post-hardcore where the singer doesn't sound like he's getting his balls knotted up.
I'm digging this.

Give me another album of this quality with "Statues" production pretty please. This shit is muffled as fuck, sounds like they wanted to sound like Mastodon even production-wise
