the second half of this, well everything from Black Sky onwards, plus Recovery is exactly half a great album
all the rest is actually quite bad

I'm sad she's distanced herself from the sound she had on Vows..

Leave her alone, goddamnit.

If you expect any artist apart from AC/DC to return to their old sound you're bound to be disappointed.

'If you expect any artist apart from AC/DC to return to their old sound you're bound to be disappointed'
lol, have you even heard Vows?
For god sake, its just a wee-disappointing album. Nothing wrong with her new direction, I just wish she'd nailed it better with less flat songwriting and reverb soaked tunes.
Your 4.5 also still looks ridiculous. Just...how

dirty computer made me forget all about this

@GooGooGajoob Don't act surprised if people are a bit peeved when you go out of your way to attempt and 'debunk' their opinion, I can accept your disappointment but you also won't be shaming me into changing my rating any time soon.
Dirty Computer and Primal Heart are pretty much locked in an eternal battle for me.

Vows is fucking brilliant but Golden Echo is virtually unlistenable so it’s hard to nail down just what the hell Kimbra is about

Album Rating: 3.0
Dirty Computer is definitely far more compelling and rewarding of a listen than this.

Do not get any of the love for Dirty Computer.
edit: upon second look there doesnt even seem to be that much love in the first place lol

@Baronessa, have you actually heard Vows in its entirety?

Yes.

Alright, I'm done

Why the hell would you neg someone for a positive rating on an album like this?
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
Because there are people who are too dense to understand that music is subjective and it's okay to disagree without attempting to subjugate others' opinions.

Speaks more to insecurity than anything else. Just petty.
