For sure. I was just listening to this again today, and it seems to get better and better. There was a time originally where I was going to give this a 3.5, but here we are at a 4.5 now. lol

The chorus of Love is a Wild Thing is still one of my favorite moments on this album... so damn beautiful

there are no bad songs but I get a liiiittle winded when “velvet Elvis” comes around. What a great album on the whole though, wow. Other two albums are no slouches either—acad might be right that “fine” could be the best KM song of all

Rainbow might be my favorite of hers so far, but I'm also a big sucker for those kinds of subdued piano ballads. Still, it's an amazing way to close out the record

I know it's basic af but i think my favorite of hers is still slow burn. That verse melody just soothes my soul

@SoccerRiot, agreed on Love is a Wild Thing, and in fact the chorus on that song alone might make it my favorite track of hers. (Maybe). Those melodies man

Agreed with robert, the whole album’s good but it takes a noticeable dive in quality from Velvet Elvis to the end, though the last couple tracks do pick it up a bit again. I’d say 90% of my enjoyment of this is for the first 8 tracks (4-8 especially).

Vocals are cloying and baby-ish in their pop mode and cheesy and syrupy in their country mode to my unrefined palette
Sort of ‘the worst of both’

Also the song writing makes Josh Rouse sound like Mozart, not detecting anything heavy going down there either.
It’s not truly offensive, but I’d prob switch the radio station on this...and that’s not good

The appeal for this is wearing off, can’t say the same about Motel Bouquet
