This album blends so many different styles together into a death metal record, it's got the jazz with the saxophone, it's got the Opeth style key's in the background that set's the mood perfectly, this isn't just a death metal record, it's one that has adapted to these other styles to create it's own other beast that cannot be named simply as "Death Metal" anymore

Ne Obliviscaris are the reason the Progressive Death Metal genre has improved, other bands are stepping up their level as a result of Citadel

This album is getting better with each listen. A breath of fresh air in a genre that can sound all too much the same. Love the atmosphere through out the whole album. Subtle production values in the background of a lot of the songs that aren't caught on first listen as well. Tough to explain that one!

I feel like there were more riffs on the last one. This felt more junz-y to me. Still an excellent effort, but could have been heightened.
