same tho. I’m in China rn and WiFi speeds are ass and for some reason iTunes has great download speeds and remains pretty uncensored so it’s been my go to I’m buying music, but I’m bummed they didn’t even show a deluxe option.

has anyone made the 3 additional tracks available for download yet? The way people are raving about them and how they're planted in the tracklist makes me really want to have that full experience be my first listen, not the 10-track version.

this is one of the promotional pictures I saw from the band's FB, so I assume it's meant to be played in this order

Yeah it's meant to be played in that order with the extended tracks. I believe the 3 additional tracks were dropped from the lineup because they felt they were the weakest and wanted didn't want the album's length to daunt.

mitama is one of the only songs i think is really great. people seem to love birdless cage but meh. album is way too samey on the whole. will give it another spin today

yeah it's homogenous as hell. songs are competently written but overblown and not very memorable.

Varuna is easily more homogeneous than this though? Did you guys like that album?

i've only heard their debut because of my friend, and maybe it's because of how often it's played that i like it better. not sure if this just takes time to warm up to, or if for most it was immediate.

Dug this on the first listen, a mite too overly dramatic to resonate with me the way it seems to have done for most of Sput so far but there's definitely quality to be found here. "The Canyon," "Birdless Cage," "Dialogues," and "Colored Out" are all great

To be fair a 4.7 rounds down to a 4.5 instead of up to a 5 ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I kinda wish I was staff so I could drop most of my 5s down to 4.9s and 4.8s while leaving only a lucky few as actual 5s

I hate .1 increments. Now I overthink everything.

Anyway, I upped this to a 5 because it deserves it.

Is this record different enough that even if you love it you might not like their old stuff?

If you love this you'll probably also enjoy their older material
