The only "scene" worth my time was when bands like Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, and shit like that came out. You can't really label it as "scene" but that's how it felt at that time back in the early 2000's.

the bigger bands in most alternative genres have a pretty big 'scene' following nowadays, pierce the veil, neck deep, all time low etc. shows are still pale girl gatherings
