This is a dark album for Glassjaw. Notably absent are bouncy songs like “ry rys song” and “radio Cambodia” ... instead a lot of noise rock songs that would be at home on the new Unsane record (compare “Golgotha” to a track like “Distance” on Sterilize)

This rips. Huge GJ fan and I haven't really heard anything like it. Great moments on every song where everything just kind of hangs in the air and you're like "holy fuck what is even happening". Examples Golgotha ending, Shira outro, Cut & Run bridge, Closer chorus...And those Citizen verses are just incredible.
