There's so much to love on Liminal rite, but i'm starting to feel the frequently occurring parts of the frantic drums are becoming slightly grating

So Liminal Rite is definitely incredible, but at 59:59 (lol), it runs that "samey" risk too many times. Not a lot to distinguish between tracks. Less bangers, more of an album you turn on and soak in. I suppose the cool moments will differentiate themselves with time.
Sometimes Mark's vocal melody is killer and cathartic and chilling, but a lot of the time the cleans kind of give me an "operatic cheese" effect I'm not sure I felt as much on the previous albums.
Which is totally stylistic, because he can do cleans that sound like cleans, but the cleans are saturated by that "B I G" and high pitched and dramatic sound that for me just personally can kill momentum or tone. That sound is just less and less for me but he's a fantastic vocalist!
Definitely going to be a grower, but I'm a touch disappointed I haven't had the "HOLY SHIT!!!"factor in a chord progression or melody, those huge first impression moments, like when I first heard their last couple EPs.

Yup. Yup yup yup. I'm SO GLAD that I was right, it is a grower.
Growers for me hinge a ton on my mood and I just wasn't feeling it at first. I've since given it the time and attention it deserves and it's positively blossoming. Incredible.
