Nah bro Pillorian rules hard.

I was being overly harsh on them in my comment. They're definitely good. I do owe their album some more spins before I make any real conclusion on them. I wouldn't be surprised if it grows on me a lot.

did Wolves spend half an hour smoking up the stage first

They spent awhile doing that while playing droney guitar stuff and smoked it up more throughout the show. Agalloch did the incense thing when I saw them but I could only smell it, they didn't get it smokey. Made for a very cool atmosphere at both shows IMO.

They played Burzum while setting up when I saw them m/

I'm still pissed about my vinyl; waste of money. Also the art, other than the cover (which rules), feels very try-hard.

Finally got to see these guys live for the first time last night, and they were phenomenal. Got chills when the main melodic tremolo riff in I Will Lay Down My Bones Among the Rocks and Roots was played. Had no idea that Aaron wasn't on the tour; they had the drummer from Lycus and ex-Deafheaven playing drums, but he's a beast anyway.

The drummer was great. He looked so in-the-zone sometimes it was scary.

That riff from I Will Lay Down My Bones is stellar. Definitely my favorite moment from the show when I saw them.

Yeah, Trevor looks so creepy during the faster sections when he's really focusing, literally just staring off into one spot, with only his arms and legs moving, haha. So surprising how he can get such a monstrous sound out of such a small kit too.

I don't think I can wait until March 10 to see them again, haha. So hyped to see them again with Enslaved and Khemmis. Myrkur can fk off though, idk why they chose Myrkur as one of the bands on next years Decibel tour.. I mean I guess I do, because she's popular and they want to make money, but come on. There are infinitely many better choices they could have gone with, haha.

I kinda put off listening to this because of the reviews this was getting but had some free time today and really don’t understand some of the lesser feedback. This was awesome, Angrboda especially
