It's still an excellent album don't get me wrong I just prefer the latter two. Baby Missiles and Come to the City are the only ones I consider on par with what they've done since. Best Night is great too though it kind of drags on a bit at the end.

Yeah i have to admit i do wish it had another bar, or maybe cut off some of the fat. I normally don't play the whole thing out. Those verses tho, god damn

'Slave Ambient' has the blueprints for all the songs that followed really, maybe I just feel that because it was the first one of their albums I tried.

'Brothers' and 'I Was There' are perfect too

Album is less polished I'll concede

slave ambient is my favourite by them, because it's shamblier and terser.. this one is fucking lovely, but so overlong, damn..

That's just it Doof, the blueprint is there but I don't think it was as convincingly fleshed out there.

I dunno, the dude likes the same melodies/chords - can't beat the first impression for me. I like the soupy vibe of the thing.

The production on 'Dream' does make songs like 'Disappearing' incredible though.

They're all 4/5 albums (well, not the debut)

Slave Ambient is the best still. And after a few more listens I feel like they need a shakeup from their formular after this album. Some of the slower songs on here are just... neither here nor there.

It's still great and the more glossy production and willingness to be "out there" instrumentally is definitely appreciated. The high's are pretty damn high on this.

Yeah i definitely dug this, need more listens to give it a rating but it shouldn't be too far from the current average. Clean Living gave me a good laugh.

I waited all my life to cum

Come To the City for me. But I was there close second.

I Was There is relatively unremarkable imo. Wouldn't make my top 20 TWoD songs.

I've had the ending of "Strangest Thing" stuck in my head for days. Been whistling the melody everywhere I go. It's lovely.

This was pretty solid. A little brighter than Lost In The Dream for better or worse. Great summer time jams tho.
