This review has been on my backlist for a while for me to read, and holy FUCK I wish I had read it sooner. God damn. I've always enjoyed your stuff but this just converted me into a full-on devout apostle. Here are a couple of things I found to be weird, though:
"a style that was individualistic yet erratic" This posits that erratic is on the opposite end of the spectrum of individualistic, or at least suggests the two are at odds, which I find makes little sense in my mind. If are confident in it, though, please fill me in as to where you're coming from here.
"By lyric, by delivery, by basement-beats and an urgent need for raised voices – this record parades its vitality, as it revolves slowly around the axis of self-determinism." I feel like a comma would be more appropriate in the place of the long dash here.

aaaaah that means so much kyle thank you < 3
regarding the former point i guess i just meant that when i think of the word 'individualistic', i often assume that it entails a set of definitive characteristics. here, though, i countered it with 'erratic' because milo seems to strike that balance, whereby even with all these changes to his style, he still retains an air that is quintessentially him. idk.
i'll have another look in the morning and i'll see if i can make any improvements. thanks heaps again :o)
