Admittedly I've only heard the first track from this but the production was literally the only bad thing about it. Song was very solid.

then write a review. would be interesting to see a substantiated, dissenting view because i'm struggling to find much enjoyment from this album at all. gotta say though, think it's kind of lame to take any stake in validation of your own views from something as arbitrary as an average rating.
it's not a terrible album, but it is definitely poor as far as i'm concerned, hence the rating. i did write a review of this but it mostly reiterates many of the points in this review (though i do focus less on the crowdfunding and speak more from a musical standpoint, so there is that, but still) so i won't be posting it here as there's no real point in turning this into an echo chamber.

These 14 minute songs could all stand to be shortened by 7-8 minutes tbh. Lots of boring and overblown fluff

Agreed. I find this pretty average on the whole, even regardless of the mixing (which doesn't help). The songwriting just isn't good imo, there's some awesome moments here and there and then long stretches of boring. Jari's acts are irrelevant to me other than to joke about, but when it comes to the actual product this is just really middle of the road stuff. I was actually expecting to like this a lot since I'm a HUGE folk metal fan and loved the concept, dug the teasers etc. This is disappointingly amateur material as far as I'm concerned.

This album was as masterfully teased as a DC movie. From the snippets it sounded like it was going to be really good, in the back of your mind you knew not to get too excited because of all the shenanigans behind the scenes but you still went into it hopeful but then you are an hour into the album and Batman and Superman are now best friends because of their mom's names.
