For me, so far from what I've heard: Rubber Soul>Sgt. Peppers>Revolver>Abbey Road>A Hard Day's Night>With the Beatles>Please Please Me. Rubber soul is my fave and basically a 5 because it's got the vocal charm of earlier Beatles with some lush instrumentation as well, and it's their catchiest CD, but Im really digging the whole progressive and circus-esque vibe of Peppers, so only time will eventually tell what my fave is.

revision: Rubber Soul>Revolver>Sgt.Peppers>White Album>Abbey Road. Abbey Road is a low 4 for me, sooo fucking overrated not their best, but still excellent. I dunno, Rubber Soul is just the most consistent Beatles album for me

rubber soul has some excellent songs but it has a lot of ones that simply arent amazing--though, at worst, the album is extremely enjoyable pop/rock music, which is very good.

yeah for me Robert, Rubber Soul is the most consistent, and, lyrically it's their best album. It's pretty much the best pop album ever released. There are only 2 or 3 songs on Rubber Soul that I don't love, all the others have their own lyrical texture, their own story (mostly about girls, lol). However, Im starting to think Revolver may be better, but Rubber Soul will always be a weird fave of mine. I love the vocal layers, lyricism, consistency and its just catchy as fuck.

rubber soul has songs like "norwegian wood" and "in my life" which are honestly as good as beatles songs get

but it also has songs that are simply "good" (run for your life, you won't see me) that while quite enjoyable i dont find myself coming back to or being "wowed" by that often

i also dont like "what goes on" too much--though it's not as bad as some seem to suggest
