@Park

I live in the most northeastern part of Belgium near the border with the Netherlands.
Lots of former mines, lots of Italian social clubs, lots of pot grow houses...
Ancestrally I'm German-Italian-Dutch tho

Here in Belgium the government is on the verge of collapsing. In surrounding countries deal with quite a few (sometimes hidden, sometimes not) issues of their own as well. Protests are increasing, even local poverty is on the rise (not dramatically, but noticeably all the same). Time will tell whether we're witnessing the first steps of the fall of the empire

well i cant claim to know anything about the sociopolitical climate there, but surely it must be better than us handful of post-communist countries that have always been impoverished to begin with and certainly far more rife with corruption and incompetent leadership

@Ben

Yeah, even though I do think it's too early to jump to conclusions, but we'll see

@Park

Oh of course. We don't have it bad at all, but things aren't exactly improving. And while I can only speak for Belgium, incompetent leadership is the name of the game here as well at the moment
